We’re delighted to start the week with a truly inspirational contribution by Leeds’ very own recovery bard, Phil Pearce.
Phil is coming up to 5 years clean, which started on the day of his second prison sentence. It ended 10 years of addiction.
He started writing poetry in HMP Kirkham, and he’s kindly sent us this video of him in action.
We’re sure you’ll enjoy it every bit as much as we did!
Phil runs a CIC (Community Interest Company) called Life Experience which is made up of volunteers all with lived experience. There’s a website coming soon, we’ll bob the link up just as soon as it’s ready.
